I too was at today's meeting. Largest AGM attendance they (Biotron) have had.
In addition to SV's summary, below are other key points I took from the meeting:
1. MM presented with conviction and confidence. Biotron are super confident with the data they have. A key outcome of the Phase 2 trial was there was NIL withdrawals and NIL SAEs (Serious Adverse Effects)- In other words, no one in the trial had to be admitted to a hospital. Great result!
2. Don't to underestimate the influence of insurance companies. Insurance companies want solutions that reduce/ lower health care costs.
3. MM & team understand the nature and expectations of the conservative and risk adverse industry (Pharma) they work in. Their Phase 2 trial
- followed rigorous testing process
- was performed to international standards.
- took into consideration "what also needs to be done to help Pharmas get FDA approval".
The language used by MM was very positive e.g "...definitive results of trial"
4. Throughout the meeting, MM emphasised Biotron's focus to commercialise BIT225 and other compounds. The team appear to be very much commercially focused.
5. Compared to other Biotech companies, Biotron is NOT knocking on the doors of big Pharmas. In fact, they are inside sitting at the table. Very pleased to hear Biotron have and continuing talking to very senior level people in Pharma industry.
6. Noticed MM was wearing a two tone Rolex watch. Good on her. Well deserved.
A few curly questions from the crowd. Particularly when MM was asked about timeframe for commercialisation, the Company Secretary quickly intervened before MM could finish answering.
In summary, I too was very impressed by meeting.
