Hi OZNT, re "I guess you perhaps just don't understand the true audience of the Chairmans address", well I guess you and a few others on here may be confused or perhaps don't want to accept reality, it's quite clear who the "audience" is for a Chairmans address to an AGM, it's the shareholders.
And in case you needed any further clarification on who your Executive Chairman was talking about and the conditions that they are facing then you only need to read the following
"Whilst your Company has made significant progress, and achieved significant returns for shareholders, the investment climate for Tanzania, and for graphite remains challenging."
The big hint is the first 3 words "Whilst your Company"
Pretty clear isn't it who he sees as the audience, the owners of the company, ie the shareholders.
Anyway, not sure why you feel the need to misinterprete what your Chairman has said or who his audience is, as I say it's very clear to most but a few diehards who only want to see the positives.Perhaps you don't like the "message"? , but he is clearly discussing your company and the environment in which it is trying to raise funds.
Not sure what your rant was all about on Africa, trying to portray some "superiority" of understanding perhaps, if so you failed miserably, the "perceptions" your financing appears to be having problems with is not the "perceptions" of the general population, it's the "perception" of the business risk of doing business in Tanzania by lenders who are use to lending into higher risk environments. However to believe they are un-informed is perhaps a sign of your's and your Chairmans lack of understanding , in fact they are likely very informed, likely keeping a close eye on efforts by World development banks etc to resolve remaining issues, which may then suitably de-risk the lending environment for all.
Your project may end up getting junk bond financing or it may fall over all together, but if they do get financing the terms and conditions will be dependent on the "perception" of risk that those informed lenders have made, that risk being both the individual project risk and the country political risk. Political risk is a big factor as any loan will be secured against project assets, if political situation deteriotes then that "security" can become worthless, the biggest risk by far for any lender.
So your Chairman was clearly talking about "Your company", good luck trying to spin it in any other light, as I say it will only be the diehard positives that take any notice of you.
