For European car makers to source EV batteries in DRC would make a lot of sense, very much reduced cost of transport, no mountains of extra roadfill to cope with, Hydro power availability, the list goes on.
Shipping SC6 to China, to produce batteries, to produce EV cars in Europe simply does not make a lot of sense.
Shipping Lithium Hydroxide, needs moisture proof containers....
