So. Some very basic maths. If we were to assume that the initial market might be tv's. There are about 200 million tv's sold each year. At 80 chips per unit this would require 16 billion chips to satisfy every tv manufacturer. Just for that industry alone. but maybe not all tv's would want 80 chips so let's say an average of 40 chips, which would still be an impressive 8 billion chips per year. Yes, it would take 10 years to saturate the market, but that's still the size of the tv market.
Samsung is the biggest manufacturer producing about 45 million tv's per year. So 1.8 billion chips just for them.
If AKP produced 5 million chips for 80 chip Samsung tv's starting this year, then that would only be enough for 62,500 tv's or 0.14% of Samsung's annual production.
People would start putting in pre-orders for those few tv's and the chip production would have to ramp up exponentially to keep up with the demand. Other tv manufacturers would also be knocking on the door because Samsung would have an edge over their products.
Once mass production starts, then hang on to your hats - and your shares!
