I agree largely with what you've said. The issue is timing, which is where I disagree.

The type of traction you're talking about take time and groundwork - and like you allude to, there's likely some inertia given the past.

With 100% focus on the tech, the engagement levels have to fall a bit, I suspect they'll ramp up now there's something to talk about, and they've already differentiated by getting 3rd party validation - I think the power of this is understated.

PS. you didn't say HOW this distortion is to be addressed. Easy to say what needs to be done (this is known) vs how to, especially in the timeframes that seem to be expected!?
