The only advantage of investment bonds from what I researched is that if you hold more than 10 years, you will be exempt from paying any tax.
If you exit before then, you are taxed at the 30% rate as mentioned above.
Also I'm surprised that there are lots of providers of investment bonds, not just generation life. And they have different rates of return.
