They want to get the cloud gaming up and running Australia wide first and see that as the means to introduce Pentanet wireless broadband to the rest of Australia. May offer free gaming if they install our wireless broadband, etc. Looking for 100,000 + cloud gaming subscribers first though, and would want the terragraph technology up and running in Perth before that probably. Interesting that they have opened up the cloud gaming to New Zealand as well (they have no competition).
Their expansion plans seemed very sensible to me and I could appreciate how the cloud gaming forms part of their overall expansion plans to the rest of Australia. Makes sense.
It's early days for a young company but lots of energy and great technology. They are first movers in cloud gaming and it will be interesting to see how that evolves as a business. Great take up so far but they need to develop the business model and pricing structures to make good profits. All part of being a first mover.
