Objectivity is worth paying for.
Given the discussion during the AGM between the ex-board member and current board, I would suggest this was lacking in the past. Perhaps it is a sign the BOD have learnt from past mistakes or perhaps it is simply because the microscope has been focused on the previous business decisions made by the BOD.
Either way, I certainly think an INDEPENDENT review is a good idea before the company is set on a path it may not be able to return from.
I'd call it the introduction of governance.
