Seriously, the journey of the AG Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda to Germany could only superficially have had to do with the recall of the 750k USD, because what are 750k USD compared to 6.8 billion USD.
And this could have been the main reason for the trip. Extended by an exchange with UK colleagues on the Zuneth Sattar case. The temporal connection and the development around VP Chilima fit 100% into the picture.
As I understand it, the Bridgin Foundation operates "as a senior/top level intermediary" between donor countries and the recipient.
One can probably assume that the whole agreement is serious and watertight and Pres. Chakwera is not committing public suicide but it will in fact be the big hit that will ultimately entail the MDA's "very soon".
And to quote the Times:
"Bridgin claims to have a mission to contribute to the economic, social and industrial development of emerging countries by funding its priority projects and programmes. It provides funds exclusively for public investments on a Public- Private Partnership (PPP) model.Speaking at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe during the signing of the grant agreement, Bridgin Foundation President Tanko Mouhamadou said the United States, Israel and the European Union are willing to support the country, including transferring knowledge and skills to the locals in Africa.“It’s a win-win situation. We are aiming to bring technology, fund experts and transfer all this knowledge to the universities.“Once we bring those funds, once we bring those technologies, our intention is to transfer the full knowledge to locals,” he saidMinister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe said the investments are specifically meant to unlock bottlenecks the Malawi economy is encountering."
The AG is always interesting

and just as certainly the seat of the Bridgin Foundation in Brussels.
If the AG had wanted to meet with EU, Bridgin und UK judiciary representatives, the time and place (Frankfurt) shortly before signing with Bridgin in Malawi would have been well chosen.
With the US and others have sure opportunities have arisen earlier, during the UN, MCC, IMF and World Bank meetings.
