I'm on board not betting the house but I think if I'm going to take marginal extra risk at present I'd rather it be on gold than say the US equities which are inherently in USD.
I saw chart yesterday that showed the yield on Chinese bonds now just lower than those for Japan (which required 3 decades plus of ultra-low interest rates). Talk about a trade war, it has to include a currency war. I agree oil prices have somewhat hoodwinked me.
