So when the ICC Awards in AVZ favour, the government will not have to refund any cash back to Zijin.
I instead Zijin will have to walk away or try
to recover the money from the corrupt officials.
This is an awesome position for AVZ, as directed by the ICC to negotiate a MOU with AVZ. Because there is no financial penalty to repay the proceeds they are in a better situation for the Congolese overall.
