Just had a look at NUF after the recent drop to $2.54 following their half-year results. Net profit was down 39.5% to $29.75m, mainly due to weak omega-3 performance and rising overheads. They also cut guidance, which didn’t help sentiment.
What stood out to me is that their NTA is $2.87 per share, so the current price is actually trading below that. That could suggest some value here—though the market might be factoring in a tougher outlook.
On the debt side, they’ve got about $1.1b in debt and around $460m in cash, so net debt is roughly $635m. Not insignificant, but not unmanageable either, depending on how earnings hold up.
Also worth keeping an eye on their Seed Technologies arm, there’s talk of interest from players like Advanta and BP. Could be a catalyst if they move on it.
Just my two cents, keen to hear what others think, also my numbers might not be quite right and this is not advise.
