Unfortunate that AZJ due to ACCC concerns has to divest the east coast rail coal haulage in Hunter Valley NSW and to a more minor extent in Queensland, because Pacific National is a strong competitor and Bendigo, Victoria-based Southern Shorthaul Railroad another, albiet far smaller, competitor.
We need more information but initial thoughts are a demerger would be preferable to a trade sale.
