re: Ann: Agreement for the Sale of UXC Field ... In the Fin this morning (p 58) it is suggested that the expected range was 50 to 70 million, but one analyst said he expected it to be 44 million.

Sounds as though we won't be far wrong with 50 mil.

They had 39 million short term borrowings at the half year. I think Nicolli said he wants to pay down debt so that might go. Their finance costs for the half year was 4 million - total debt is 80 mil so they are paying roughly 10% a year (or would that finance cost not be all due to interest payments?) - so paying down the short term debt should save 4 - 5 mil.

That's a reasonably significant amount when compared to the low profits of the last 2 years, but they could probably invest it for a better return elsewhere.

Then again, perhaps its a good idea not to let this board do any more "investing"!
