I agree with a lot of what you say however the air pollution in massive Asian countries is more because of the types of engines used such as filthy little two stroke motor bikes, and very old ones at that.
In Australian cities of forty years ago we also had the same problems, not two strokes engines, but it was solved by cleaning up the source ( car engines ) of the pollutants and not by changing the whole methods of transport.
We will see, but when I have seen the stories peddled by the Green brigade for the last 55 years at least, that scare the crap out of young kids, and then don't eventuate, I tend to become cynical about their true intentions.
Where I am sitting now, on the coast, should be well and truly under water if I was to believe the rubbish that was peddled, and yet it has not changed even one bit.
The whole political system of Western countries has been prostituted so that big tech can make even bigger profits.
As for organizations such as CSIRO, NASA, and many other government groups, "supposedly" with some cred, well they all know on which side their bread is buttered.
Just ask Prof Peter Ridd.
The very same professors fifty years ago were warning of the coming new Ice Age.
As I said, I am happy for Inca Minerals to chase lithium and make money from that, just don't expect me to believe the rubbish attached to it or to go along with the "holier than thou" attitude that also goes along with it.
The attitude comes out when they run out of sensible argument.
