MTV a met would be able to answer your question better I think. For instance one batch might have preg robbing characteristics and the gold content is reduced a bit, grinding characteristics might have an influence perhaps. One potential cause for arguments might be if there is more coarse gold in a batch which should report to the gravity circuit but on occasion gets held up in various parts of the mills' plumbing or between the plates in the ball mill, only to be recovered during a mill reline.
Like I say a met would be better qualified to comment on the potential issues of blending. What is cetain is that they (the mets) will be pretty busy because not all of the 'new' ore sources will have the same characteristics.
