    l figure they would need to sell more assets in order to be privatized. they still have a lot debt, but when they pay a div, the Kirbys get a nice cash flow which is good for them to buy out the company. they might just creep up their holding steadily to avoid paying a t/o premium.

    my idea would be to sell AEO, then privatize the company in 1 deal. that would be great - cash from AEO and then cash for t/o - that would be a dream.
    however if they pay divs l am quite happy holding long term.
