    Problem with a CR, of course, is obvious.

    Even if it was biggie with 100 mil shares they would face two problems:

    1) they would only raise $1-1.5mil - which is only enough to keep the lights on for maybe a year - not enough to do anything.
    2) That CR is likely to be undersubscribed - so maybe not even the full amount but an embarrassing failure further diminishing confidence in the company.

    Maybe the timing of the announcement is a belated effort to avoid the second strike.

    An announcement that a consultant has been contracted with is nothing compared to an announcement that the consultant has found a third party with deep pockets to fund future research - maybe the latter will carry more weight.

    As it is, a 10% rise in a small SP is nothing to crow about - it was at 2 cents a couple of weeks back.
