Moreover, this agreement provides benefits for the Abitibiwinni First Nation in terms of sustainable development and economy”. She anticipates the creation of a joint committee on the environmental issues of the Authier project.Sayona Québec’s Director of Sustainable Development, Mr. Serge Rouillier believes that "this agreement opens the door to a good collaboration and announces fruitful discussions about the next step, that is to say the signing of an agreement about the impacts and benefits of the Authier project". This agreement must be ratified by the Band Council and approved by the members of the Abitibiwinni First Nation.In these circumstances, the Council intends to be open to Sayona regarding its interest in acquiring North American Lithium.
