[email protected] A Suite68,283GivenTce,PaddingtonQLDsayonamining.com.au JOINT PRESS RELEASETHE COUNCIL OF THE FIRST NATION ABITIBIWINNI AND SAYONA QUÉBEC CONCLUDE AN AGREEMENT RELATING TO THE EXPLORATION PHASE OF THE AUTHIER PROJECT La Motte, Québec – The Council of the First Nation Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) and the mining company Sayona Québec are pleased and proud to announce the signing of an agreement for the works during the exploration phase of the Authier Lithium Project.According to the Chieftess Monik Kistabish “this agreement sets out the principles agreed upon to establish a harmonious and trust‐based relationship to reconcile Abitibiwinni First Nation's rights to the Authier Project. Moreover, this agreement provides benefits for the Abitibiwinni First Nation in terms of sustainable development and economy”. She anticipates the creation of a joint committee on the environmental issues of the Authier project.Sayona Québec’s Director of Sustainable Development, Mr. Serge Rouillier believes that "this agreement opens the door to a good collaboration and announces fruitful discussions about the next step, that is to say the signing of an agreement about the impacts and benefits of the Authier project". This agreement must be ratified by the Band Council and approved by the members of the Abitibiwinni First Nation.In these circumstances, the Council intends to be open to Sayona regarding its interest in acquiring North American Lithium. For its representatives, "our bonds of openness, transparency, trust and respect will allow us to establish a climate of trust and a calm and constructive dialogue, which will make Sayona a partner of choice".About Sayona QuébecA subsidiary of Sayona Mining created in 2016, Sayona Québec is actively developing in the sector of lithium, a key element in the manufacture of lithium‐ion batteries. As the owner of a high quality deposit, the Company intends to carry out the Authier project in order to move from the exploration stage to the exploitation and development stage, with the objective of later processing.
