Over the 24-48 hours, Tanzanian President John Magufuli has made some pretty significant claims in an attempt to increase the FDI in Tanzania.

This includes his statement to provide Tax benefits to those companies wishing to promote and construct new industries in Tanzania:

President Magufuli pledged to offer free land to investors determined to invest in iron processing factories, saying he will equally look on the modalities to adjust the import duty on the products:

For those interested in the Tanzania situation,  the 11th National Business Council (TNBC) meeting is slated for next Monday in Dar es Salaam and Tanzania's industrialisation agenda is expected to feature high. This meeting will be chaired by President Magufuli who is also co-chairman of the council.

TBNC Executive Secretary Eng Mbilinyi said the meeting will also provide solutions for long-term competitiveness and transformation of the country's economy.

"We will discuss ways that will help improve business environment and deliberate on how Tanzania can accelerate its industrialization drive through engagement of the private sector and attract both local and foreign direct investments flows in the country," he said.
