Your gymnastic re-imaginings of Frank's CNBC interview have distinct smell of after-the-fact re-positioning, especially the baiting nonsense in previous post, these affairs are almost infomercials. Many, if not all, reading company announcement concluded processing plant exempt from recent mining legislation, despite any misgivings.

    Magnis March Ann.
"The SEZ under the jurisdiction of the Department of Industry, Trade and Investment, governs the operation of the graphite processing plant and is not subject to the changes in the mining legislation promulgated last year...MTT will own and operate 100% of the Company’s processing plant at the Nachu Graphite Project under the laws applicable to the SEZ under the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA)"

Handy table underlined the legal split:

CNBC weren't lazily distorting the announcement; obviously read it, prepared slides and produced pithy banner to cover interview segment, possibly guided by Magnis IR. Given the political back-drop of Magufuli and Acacia Mining, the obvious "too good to be true" question was put directly to Frank by CNBC regarding circumventing legislation. Wasn't a 'bait', merely looking for company to confirm their own announcement. Here was an opportunity to either support the perception of legal exemption for the ore processing plant from Ministry of Minerals, or hose it down. CNBC interviewer's context for question included this statement in same announcement:
"The SEZ license for production of value added graphite products is the only such license to be granted in Tanzania."

    Frank's CNBC interview
CNBC host at 1:30 "It almost seems to good to be true Frank because you're the only business in Tanzania with this licence that you describe...specifically, is Magnis Resources and Magnis Technologies Tanzania, which is your subsidiary there, fully exempt from all of those mining laws that were announced and enacted in Tanzania last year?"

Frank neither confirmed nor denied exemption.

Formal media includes company ASX announcements, PR driven interviews & reputable news sites.
EPZA Public Notice falls short of naming offending formal media items, or exact statements that "grossly distorted and totally misrepresented the facts" regarding amendments to Magnis SEZ license.

But central to EPZA rebuttal is:
"It should be clearly understood that, MAGNIS or any other entity that, wishes to engage in the processing of graphite and other mineral ores within NACHU SEZ; or within any other Special Economic Zone licensed by EPZA, shall at all times be subject to compliance with applicable provisions of the laws and regulations which govern mineral resources extraction and processing in the United Republic of Tanzania."

i.e Ministry of Minerals and Mining and their laws, as amended last year, apply to ore processing.

Apparent contradiction worthy of a co. response.
