The thing I missed was the size of the shareholder base, meaning that there are going to be many voices clamouring for some of that NZ$200m of SPP stock.
Unless the board exercises its discretion to increase the SPP pool, shareholders will be lucky to get one-fifth of the amount of shares for which they apply.
Especially given the share price response today.
It's a company with truly rare assets.
And the market knows it.
