The scale back factor is a point to consider, given the time money is tied up in these open offers. Not much point sending $50k off to AIA if one ends up with an allocation of a few hundred dollars. My worst experience in this regard was in AD8 where I sent $15,000 off in an SPP and ended up getting an allocation of 12 shares, or $84 worth. It tied up my capital for two months as I was an overseas subscriber.
I like this strategy, it's the fundamental raison d'etre for the share market, and I feel good helping businesses get through times like this. Another thing, I think any 'quality' company should be considered in this strategy, so I have also bought holdings in REH, APD, OML, HVN, VGL (NZ), AIR, ADH, KMD (NZ), MOZ, and HLG (NZ). I even got some MHJ (NZ).
