My understanding is that shares purchased via SPP can be sold as soon as the holding appears in your broker account. I have participated in several SPPs and sometimes lighten my position if it is overweight. In the context of many portfolios, 47K in addition to the existing holding is probably going to create and outsized position (unless you have portfolio greater than 1M). Lukcily/unluckily this probably won't be an issue due to the scale back in this SPP.
