Yeah by eliminating Covid 19 NZ has actually backed itself into a corner. To keep NZ covid free they are gunna have to block the border to all countries who still have community transmission. Meanwhile in Europe they are mostly opening their borders to each other (despite still having hundreds of cases daily) as they know trying to get to zero cases would cripple their economies

Add to that, Jacinda Ardern recently said that NZ won't open borders with mandatory quarantine as holiday makers simply won't travel if they have to quaranteen for 7 days +. I bought a small parcel under $1 but it's gone straight into the bottom draw. There's near zero chance of a quick recovery, it's gunna be a long and messy road ahead
