An absolute shambles from start to finish for something that should’ve been straightforward and very simple. This thread exemplifies it all. That so much time has been chewed up in the confusion is evidence enough of a disgraceful failure by NZX, NZRegCo and by Air NZ itself. It almost seems like this was designed from the get go to confuse a bunch of unsophisticated investors. Even some reputable brokers weren’t clear in their own minds about what the Rights offer or the dates for eligibility were!

Rather than attract new investors who are fully informed, satisfied and knowledgeable about their investment timeframes and associated risks, we’ll have a share register half full of half baked halfwits who are miffed or angry about what they’ve inadvertently gotten themselves into. What a sh!t show and it’s not over yet.
