From an Oct 2016 AGS ann/image we can see that the Nepean South exploration licence is immediately to the south of the Nepean Nickel mine (currently on C and M, 100% Focus Minerals) .. but also, interestingly, adjacent to historic gold workings. .. From a mindat.org reference I read that a historic gold mine operated there (or thereabouts) briefly in the late 19th century (1897 to 1899), but was abandoned by shareholders due to a fall in the price of gold. ... (after spending some 12 thousand pounds on its development!)

Here’s hoping AGS has better luck. (I see from the 10/16 ann that we had circa $24m at that time). ..From yesterday’s The Kalgoorlie Miner” , it seems this is the place to be, as the Eastern Goldfields “retains lead in exploration licences” in WA .. due “bullish outlooks for gold and lithium”.
