I just think the interest in gold is not there right now on the ASX. The Aussie population are asleep, still living in hope, thinking all is rosy! Media are covering up the current state of the world, housing is king, buy a house during rising interest rates and have a mortgage coming out your ears otherwise you will miss out lol! Otherwise you are a failure in society lol. Everyone is pumping any spare money they have into that, most don't even have spare cash, just using debt, or mum and dads inheritance/guarantees. Eventually the good times will end and a lot of people will get found out!
A resource won't matter Imo, look at AUC, solid resource and will only rise from here, yet the share price still keeps falling. Lack of newsflow is killing all junior goldies on the ASX, 90% are lifestyle companies for fat cat management teams. Junior goldies need exciting newsflow to engage the market and attract liquidity from their peers. Look at what visible gold did to this share price a couple of years ago, went to 20c from memory. Positive newsflow will do the job but all these companies and management teams fail to deliver on solid exploration newsflow.
