    The air drilling (cheap and nasty) was to confirm that the target area was bare of resource so GM CAN BUILD INFRASTRUCTURE THERE TO EXTRACT GOLD!

    And they got it right. No resource. Sounds like they understand the ground quite well. Very very well imho.
