$1 at the moment is NOT cheap, have a look at AIZ balance sheet, they have alot of debt, have a look at the LT chart, during the GFC this fell to 50c, everyone is saying economically this will be alot WORSE than the GFC, AIZ will survive, BUT will the nz govt just privatise it? which means shareholders will get 0, if worst comes to worst.
