SI6 will be better than RAG. Better ground and more of it. Maybe lacking mega pumpers on twit but the drill will do the talking. The wall at 1.3 cents is b/s one day soon will evaporate and the game will be on.

Si6 survey firms up intriguing anomaly at Airstrip

Si6 continues to build the potential of its Maibele project in Botswana with the confirmation of a 2.5km long anomaly at the Airstrip prospect.

This follows completion of pole-dipole induced polarisation (IP) surveys across priority anomalies detected by the earlier gradient array IP survey to further map the accurate locations of potential sulphide mineralisation.

Si6 Metals (ASX:SI6) noted that the pole-dipole surveys indicate prominent chargeability anomalies extending to depth that generally correspond to the three anomalies that were identified in the earlier survey.

It added that these warrant drill testing as well as more IP lines with wider dipole spacings to extend the anomaly strike lengths and generate even deeper targets.

“Our ongoing program in Botswana is proving to be a great success with current surveys having now highlighted two 2.5km anomalies at Dibete and Airstrip and numerous additional IP targets generated,” executive chairman Patrick Holywell said.

“There are some great target areas along strike of the known mineralisation, demonstrating strong potential for deep seated mineralisation which warrant further exploration and as such, the company will be planning for reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs.”

    Airstrip anomalies

The pole-dipole lines at Anomaly 1 shows two strong chargeability anomalies with coincident resistivity lows that both correspond to known mineralisation at Maibele North and Airstrip while revealing deeper and parallel targets that have yet to be drill tested.

This data indicates that there is good potential to discover mineralisation at Airstrip further to the east and at depth and also to extend the Maibele North mineralisation to the southwest.

At Anomaly 2, the pole-dipole lines all returned strong IP chargeability and resistivity anomalism with the linear nature of the corresponding highs indicating a prospective zone extending for at least 2km.

Dolerite dykes are known to traverse the area and other geophysical datasets such as magnetics indicate potential for ultramafic bodies and highlight the potential for Anomaly 2 to host numerous mineralisation styles.

Elevated copper-in-soils are also associated with the 2km long anomalous zone though two historical holes drilled in the area did not test the currently defined IP anomalies.

Last but not least, the chargeability responses from the two lines at Anomaly 3 correlate well with strong historical linear copper-in-soil anomalies and have defined a new target zone.

While these warrant immediate drill testing, further geophysics is likely to define more drill targets.
