I went with option 2

Now Art make $0

I just wonder how often the fee cost gets in the way of the job being fulfilled via Art (slippage/ cancellation rates) as it seems the fees charged to the tasker are too high in this instance

He said had he quoted say $7k from the start that I may not have taken his offer, so he's having to underquote to get the job then haggle to get out of the large fee loss

Anyway just thought I'd share the experience
