What deterrent is an injunction when the penalties for breaching it amount to a slap on the wrist ?
The court of appeal has just quashed the 1 year custodial sentences handed out to the 3 protestors for disrupting Preston New Road operations . They said the 2 weeks they spent on remand amount to a 6 week sentence and let them go without even making them perform community service .
