Exactly what I'm talking about. How many mining conveyor belts do you reckon would be in the world? and just imagine how much is known about conveyor belts. Clearly there was a mismatch between the equipment supplied to the mining company and what the mining situation required.
It leaves me wondering about the state of mining engineering.
I can understand there may be certain situations where a process of on-site trial and error is required to resolve certain issues to meet performance requirements but Jesus, the number of times equipment failure delays commissioning is out of control IMO.
