It means, that "if" the water was in fact the water oil contact "which i think it isn’t as they're sidetracking" it really doesn't matter as we have 100s of meters of hydrocarbons above it
You find water eventually, you just beed to drill deeper, the thing to remember is, the deeper the water the bigger the reserves
