The formation water identified in Alameda-1 could be coming from a number of areas - both from below the zone it was identified in & adjacent, local to the well bore. IMO, it doesn't necessarily mean that the formation water will exist at the same depth in the Marti-5 well bore. In Slide 1 I highlight MAY's faulting (which is a sub set of the faulting that will exist) to indicate that conduits will very likely exist between the well bore and the Transition Zone (where water can be coproduced with oil) or below the oil water contact where "only" water will be produced.

The seismic section(s) presented are the companies best interpretation at that point in time. From my industry experience, I interpreted AP's comment as referring to schematics that MAY has released on occasions (see Slide 2). Schematics are just approximate representations of how a company sees the subsurface etc. at a point in time.

The 500m vertical section, for the Marti structure, that AP refers to would be from the structure's maximum vertical extent from its crest's highest point to its current depth in the well bore. IMO, this means that the structure's highest point does not lie on the seismic section that the well has been drilled on, it may lie some distance to the northwest or southeast (Slide 3).
