They'll flow at various rates for 2-3 days (at least). Then they'll shut the well in and monitor the pressure for a probably a few more days (analysis of this pressure data allows determination of various reservoir characteristics). As for when the release an announcement, they may announce something about the rates after flowing, or they may wait till they've analysed the results and announce everything together.
If it flows gangbusters, pretty safe to assume they'll be keen to let the world know ASAP though,
