It doesn’t matter which end of the bath you take water from with international commodities. China banned Aussie coal and bought from Indonesia and Mongolia. India Japan and Korea bought the Aussie coal. This may of course have been a political show of support for Australia but enough of it is simple supply logistics. These sorts of bans merely results in non traditional suppliers filling the gaps created .
To achieve a permanent price rise one would need to destroy Russia’s supply capability.
