    Amongst other things, we we’re directed to a question at the 56m mark of the webinar.

    The question was about refining capacity in Cuba and expanded to query if Mexico was a refining option, if my memory serves correctly.

    There’s a lot of opinion out there around Cubas shortage of gasoline and diesel. It has been said that Cubas refineries are aging and experiencing technical difficulties. Venezuelan heavy oil probably doesn’t help. And there are believed to be shortages of additives to the refining process of heavy oils. The shortage of gasoline and diesel isn’t believed to be due to a lack of oil.

    So, Block 9 is Angolan/Australian. Where will this non nationalised field fit into the refining matrix? And what price will Cuba pay for the oil at the gate? They have to produce the oil first, that’s the first hurdle.
