Dunno whether I was criticising your view, or the way you expressed it. Probably the latter if truth be told. It is very easy for us armchair-experts to throw stones, but the guys in the field have to make decisions every day and I am pretty sure their first thought is not "Gee, I better let the lads on HotCopper know what I am doing first".

You and I agree on one thing (as do most here, when we can stop bickering like a bunch of old CWA gals). We all agree that Melbana is on to something good here. The frustration creeps in with the way we are kept informed, the timing of updates, and the language used by the company: far too conservative for us bullish mongrels. So putting those first-world gripes aside: MAY has successfully negotiated their way down to the bottom of Alameda, has successfully taken two core samples out of a zone with hydrocarbon shows, has successfully sidetracked around a problem that was always on the cards, and is now drilling down towards an area known to possess high pressure, good API oil.

So what the buggery are we worried about? These guys are doing all the heavy lifting, yet we whinge and complain about this and that, and turn on each other like bunch of vegans locked in a butchers shop.

We need to chill. We are close. We will know soon enough. Worst case scenario - we have a second well accessing U1B. Not a bad fallback position.
