You don’t seem to understand how ASX takeover rules work. She can’t purchase more than 3% per month of the outstanding shares, unless she declares a takeover offer (like ALB did) AND the BOD accepts.
It would take her ten months of buying furiously at market prices just to get her to 49.9%.
It’s not like she can wait a week or two for the SP to tank, assisted by her shorter friends, and then swoop in. Given that we’re now only 8 or 9 months to commissioning, the price she’s going to have to pay will only increase, as well.
Her quickest way to a controlling share (or at least a more significant share) would be to be the party providing the necessary funding, whether it’s for equity, debt or a combination of the two.
