Let's just hose down this supposed ALB bid.
    It was just window shopping.
One quick look at the ALB balence sheet shows they don't currently have the financial capacity to settle without a massive CR.
Days of cheap money are over.
The cost to carry LTR to production would break ALB.
Also they would need FIRB approval.
    A few other points:
TG didn't disclose the 'offer' because it was highly conditional and opportunistic.
TG only bought new shares to show that he had absolute faith in the company.
    Ask yourself this:
Does a guy who owns 15% really need to spend $1.5m to top-up his holdings other than to send a message to the faithful?
IMO the third offer was only released to the market to BURN the shorters.
LTR may well need to tap the market for a CR?
To do that cheaply and successfully you need a strong share price.
Which is also a text-book defence against a hostile offer and predators.

O the machinations of corporate life: I miss it.
I recommend that you read the best two business books ever written.
    Niccolo Machiavelli: The Prince
Sun Tzu: The Art of War
