I believe that all good leaders need advisors. Most businesses are a team effort and EVS obviously see the strategic value in bringing him onboard to accelerate sales and growth. CEO's can't do everything.
Alberto has a great resume is going to have an established network with many chiefs across a broad range of potential international clients. I imagine that this expertise and experience should definitely help deliver sales advice to those same high value clients.
If Alberto can help to deliver a few large recurring contracts then he's paid for himself.
