It is truly disappointed to see that Nathan has decided to move on from his role at Alcidion, so I have emailed him and ask if he can comment further on his departure:

I am delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Ray and Malcolm, both are visionaries in their own right and I have every confidence that Alcidion will become a force to be reckoned with in the informatics market.

My engagement was to formulate the commercialisation strategy for the business. With the business recently executing a $2.35m contract with Western Health, coupled with the $NZD1.60m contract with the Mid Central DHB, the time has come to turn my interest back to my Venture Capital business, Allure Capital, which has been on hiatus over the past 24 months as my efforts have been focused exclusively on Alcidion.

I will remain in an executive capacity until the end of the year, which will provide ample time to transition my responsibilities to the new board members.

I am pleased to confirm that Allure Capital will not be selling any of its ALC equities in the near future.

I remember Nathan has said before he always had 3 years investing window, so we all knew that this day will come eventually. But it looks like Mr.Geoff Rohrsheim might be a perfect fit for ALC commercialise  Miya platform.

Geoff is a former EY Entrepreneur of the Year winner for the southern region and had 3 start-ups appear in the BRW Fast 100. His company, Kloud Solutions grew rapidly in five years and was ranked the fastest growing company in Australia in 2014, before being acquired by Telstra in early 2016 for north of 40 million dollars.

This was Geoff’s second sale. His first company, Strategic Data Management, was also picked up for a multi-million dollar sum .. and he explains the fundamentals of planning for a successful exit.

He tried retirement for a few months but got bored. Geoff is currently co-founder of five startups, all focused on emerging fields in tech, and explains how he keeps on top of the growing companies.
Not bad for a bloke who finished high school having never touched a computer.

Geoff comes from humble beginnings, he’s one of six kids, and his siblings include an orthopaedic surgeon, navy pilot and the general manager of Uber Aus/NZ.
