• Medical informatics company Alcidion Group (ALC) has expanded its reseller agreement with NextGate to include the United Kingdom and Ireland
• Two years ago, the company, through its subsidiary MKM Health, signed an agreement to resell NextGate's patient management solutions in Australia and New Zealand
• The agreement's expansion comes as the U.K.'s National Health Service moves online — meaning both parties are poised to support the transition
• On the market this morning, Alcidion is up 7.32 per cent and trading at 22 cents per share

Alcidion Group (ALC) has expanded its reseller agreement with NextGate to include the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In 2018, Alcidion's subsidiary, MKM Health, signed an agreement to resell NextGate's solutions, the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and Provider Registry, in Australia and New Zealand.

Following this successful two year relationship, the agreement has now been extended to include the United Kingdom and Ireland.

NextGate is described as a global leader in healthcare enterprise identification. Its overarching goal is to create technology which reduces healthcare errors that result from duplicate records or fragmented information. Because of this, the company has created platforms to help hospitals and clinics manage their patient's information cohesively.

Crucially, Alcidion's Miya Precision technology digitalises patient records and care processes — meaning it's a great fit for NextGate's solutions.

Through the partnership, the reseller agreement has seen two significant state-wide contracts signed in Australia with The Queensland Health Referral Service Directory and Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

Now, the new expansion will strengthen the company's position in the U.K. as the National Health Service (NHS) goes digital.

"Together, Alcidion and NextGate are delivering innovative interoperable solutions that maximise the quality, efficiency and coordination of care," NextGate CEO said.

"I am delighted that we can now expand our success by implementing the NextGate solution in Australia to the U.K," Alcidion Managing Director Kate Quirke said.

On the market this morning, Alcidion is up 7.32 per cent and trading at 22 cents per share at 11:12 am AEDT.
