For every seller there is a buyer. So someone has picked up that scoop, put it that way. This happens regardless of regular trading hours or after hours. That price is what it is, looks like it's been agreed. So someone wants to get out while someone sees value.

Whether or not the price goes down is something else. This transaction could affect the opening price if people see this and act on it. But it won't necessary start off at 40, it'll depend on sentiment and liquidity. But yes it might lower the opening price, only if sellers agree with this price.
