No but I have studied Phase Change Materials at univeristy. I was a consistent HD student in maths and physics. I was rusty but I revisited the topic recently since it was relevant to me as an AJX holder. Its actually not super complicated how it works. Absorbs heat as temperature rises past the relevant level, releases that heat when it drops below. The heat absorbed it not conductive until the temp drops back below, when it is released again. The heat is locked into the chemical phase change that occurs and can't be passed on while the temp remains high.
