Yes its pretty clear, its not Alexium who is short listed. They will be the sub contractor supplier to the short listed uniform supplier/s. So revenues will be achieved which is from an est 5m yards.
It appears the DOD would prefer AJX to supply the FR Fabric ensuring they receive the same quality fabrics which have been previously tested. Having it as an Alexium branded fabric makes sure DOD can stipulate the exact fabric type they want and be confident its to standard.
Seems a smart move really and bodes well for the next 25m yards of DOD uniforms. Not only that but FR branded uniform fabric should tie in well and help market the work wear line that iTextiles and AJX are jointly developing.
