re: Ann: Algae.Tec and Manildra Group sign co... Anyone know how much it will cost to put one of these commercial Algae.tec plants up?

510 ha of solar collectors for a 100,000te/yr oil plant seems like a huge amount of money....a lot of risky capex!

Also don't get too hung up on the idea that the oil can all be used for Jetfuel - a small proportion of it may be, just like with mineral fuel.

any idea how far these guys are from first commercial plant (assume the Manildra is a pilot with little earning potential)?
